Test carbon monoxide/smoke detectors and replace any batteries
Do a once over on the exterior to check for any foliage that could interfere with power lines to your home
Have A/C Inspected

Have chimney cleaned
Summer
Inspect roof for any leaks or faults
Ensure your dryer lint is cleaned out and is venting outside with no clogs
Change direction of your ceiling fans (counter clockwise)
Power wash your driveway and walkways
Hire a company to do a professional house and roof wash to remove and prevent mold
Plant and clean up your yard
Fall
Clean gutters again (maybe have some gutter guards installed)
Have your furnace serviced
Seal up any air leaks (door weather stripping, windows)
Winterize outdoor water spigots, irrigation systems or anything that may freeze during the colder weather
Fertilize your lawn, the grass roots are still active even when the grass is not currently growing.
Winter
Check your fireplace and chimney
Make sure all pipes are insulated so they don't freeze
Add some rugs or carpets on any bare tile, wood or laminate flooring
Change direction of your ceiling fans (clockwise to push the hot air back down)
Invest in a smart thermostat to control your heat when your not home or already comfy in bed
